Affiliate Marketing and Income Earnings

Yesterday I talked about different ways to earn an income on line from the comfort of your home. With in my post, I gave a small explanation of the income you could earn from these different ventures. Today I am going to break down the earning process for each one.

For this post, I am going to concentrate on Affiliates. Affiliate income/marketing is a business that can grow over a number of years. The key is finding a legitimate company that you can begin a relation ship with. I had mentioned that Click Bank was an excellent place to find affiliates (there are a host of other places to find great affiliate at) that you could team up with. With in the Click Bank website, you can search the data base for almost any subject.

The way to use Click Bank, is to look at the Gravity number by each affiliate. The higher the Gravity, the better the conversion rate is. For instance, if you had a choice between an affiliate that has a Gravity of 10 or one that has a Gravity of 52, go with the 52. You will also want to look at the pitch or sales page for the affiliate that you are looking to join. You will want something that looks professional, this will help to convert sales.

Once you concentrate on a subject and locate affiliates that you can earn an income with, you can begin your pathway to promotions. This is usually the toughest part of earning with affiliates! Before you begin to promote your affiliate, you need to learn everything you can about the service or product you are offering. This will offer great benefits in the long run!

Promoting your business is the most important aspect of earning an income. To get your business off on the right foot, you will need to spend some money on advertising. Yes, there are some free ways to promote your business on the internet, but do they really work? A few do, but the majority do not. Personally, I choose to promote my business ventures with paid advertisements. I mainly use Pay Per Click, this is a simple way to advertise and can be relatively inexpensive if you manage it correctly. A pay per click campaign is simply creating advertisements with your keywords. Simply create a pay per click campaign with any pay per click company, there are many to choose from. For example, you can create an account with Yahoo, MSN, Google, Enhance, etc..

Once you have created your PPC account, you will now begin to create your campaign. With in your campaign. you will have to create an advertisement and select your keywords. You advertisement will be a short 2 sentence ad, be as descriptive and enticing as possible with your advertisement. After all, this is what potential customer's will see! Your keywords that you select should be the best possible keywords that you can find. Most of the PPC companies offer a keyword program that will tell you how strong the keywords you select are. This is something you will have to test and play around with as they all have different pay ranges. Once you have both of these set, you will want to decide on how much you are willing to spend for the month. This is what Pay Per Click is all about, you are paying to have your advertisement seen and when somebody follows your advertisement to your affiliate, you will be charged a certain amount for that click. So for instance, you can set up a campaign that will cost $30 for 1 month and set it up to have a spending limit of $1 a day. Over the course of that month, every time somebody follows your advertisement, the cost of that click will be deducted from your $30 budget and when you cap out at $1 for the day, then your campaign is over for the day. You have to pay close attention to your campaign and make sure it is following the criteria you set up. You can play around with the cost of your keywords to stretch your advertising budget.

Once you begin to convert customer's you should contact them , if possible, to make sure they are enjoying the product or have an questions. If it is a matrix style affiliate, you should contact them and help them promote. after all this will help grow your business! Remember, creating an income with affiliates will not happen overnight, but it is a business that will grow over time!
